The desire for a smaller, intimate wedding venue is trending in the Austin area. Lucky for you, I’ve found the perfect spot in Hutto, TX. Let’s dig into what it’s like to have a One Eleven East Wedding!

The Overall Specs About One Eleven East:

From their website, they share:

  • One Eleven East is ideal for intimate weddings of 150 guests & less, hosting both ceremony & reception
  • 150 sit comfortably dinner-style in the main open area
  • 100 sit comfortably dinner-style (or 150 ceremony-style) in the Skylight Room
  • 250 max capacity, cocktail-style

First Impressions About Having a One Eleven East Wedding

  1. I LOVE the white, blank canvas that the venue boasts and its original wooden floors, doors, and windows. Bold, bright colors are sizzling right now and you can certainly make a statement within these walls.
  2. The venue is a quick 30 minutes north of the AUS airport and downtown Austin. Destination weddings sure have become popular here; your guests are guaranteed to be entertained during their time in the South. Hutto feels like a small town but keeps things lively with their nightlife and quick access to downtown.
  3. The venue provides all modern tables, chairs, and a stunning lounge set with many additional add-on options. (Hello, easy rental items!) Some of the add-ons include mobile bars, cocktail table upgrades, modern bistro tables, sign easels, and more.

The Layout

One Eleven East features 4 key spaces: the main room, skylight room, courtyard, and getting ready spaces. Let’s walk through each of them!

The Main Room

The main room, aka the first space you walk into, is often used as the dinner reception space. Within it, you’ll find a massive built-in bar, access to the catering kitchen, two sets of bathrooms, and a beautiful staircase leading to the getting-ready rooms.

The Skylight Room

The skylight room is where your One Eleven East wedding ceremony will be held. As mentioned in its name, there is a stunning skylight that opens up in the room as well as natural light that flows in from the courtyard windows. What I love about this space is that because there are two points of entrance, I’ve used five different points within the space as the ceremony altar.

Following the ceremony, your guests will make their way out to the courtyard for cocktail hour. During this time, your catering team will be doing a room flip in preparation for this space to turn into the dance floor later in the evening.

The Courtyard

One of my favorite perks of a One Eleven East wedding is their cozy, intimate courtyard. Surrounded by shrubbery and string lights, this space keeps your guests together to mix and mingle while you and bae are off taking photos. Not to mention, golden hour is stunning in the courtyard – guests are always blowing up the ‘gram here.

Once cocktail hour concludes, guests make their way into the main space (mentioned earlier) for dinner and toasts.

The Getting Ready Space

Up the stairs from the main room are two getting-ready spaces for the couple and their wedding attendants. Each features a bathroom, plenty of mirrors, climate control between the two, clothing racks, and a crisp, classic aesthetic for your getting-ready photos.

I love that these rooms are upstairs because oftentimes, after a bustle or outfit change, the couple will descend the stairs for their grand entrance – making it the ultimate welcome to rejoin their guests!

My Opinion of the One Eleven East Wedding Staff

I appreciate that from the time of the venue tour to the weeks leading up to the wedding day, your venue point of contact is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive. I know, it can be stressful when vendors aren’t on top of things, but this staff is far from it. On the day of, a venue manager is onsite for twelve hours to make sure the building continues to run as needed. They help coordinate vendor load-in, clean up windows that may have been streaked during the load-in process, keep the bathrooms nice and tidy, adjust the climate control as needed, dim lights to set the mood, and so much more behind the scenes to create your perfect day.

*As someone who has managed the venue at One Eleven East before, I can say I’m a little biased. However, as a planner, I 100% stand by how much I love this venue!

Fun Fact: The town’s mascot is the Hutto hippo. Legend has it that back in the late 1800s, a train carrying mail (and circus animals) stopped in town to deliver mail and water the animals. During their stop, a hippo escaped and wandered the grounds of Hutto! Its remains are yet to be found.
