Tatiana & Blake | June 2, 2023 | The Chandelier of Gruene | Rustic, Pink, Old-World

Are you ready for it? Old-world architecture meets rustic charm is the essence of The Chandelier of Gruene. Central Texas continues to surprise me with the vast array of venues it offers and this space in New Braunfels, TX is no exception. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to celebrate Tatiana and Blake at this breathtaking venue nestled amongst towering oak trees. Let’s take a peek at their story and what they have to share.

So, how did you and Blake meet?

We met while working at a restaurant together in college during the Summer of 2016. We stayed in touch over the years and went on a few dates. After a few years without seeing each other, Blake reached out to me in February of 2021 and asked me to go on a date with him. The rest is history! (Cute side note, they hosted their rehearsal dinner at the restaurant she’s referring to – The Gristmill in Gruene.)

What was your wedding inspiration?

My inspiration was the whimsy and romance of the Regency era! I wanted my wedding to be classically beautiful, so I would always look back and love my photos.

Why did you choose The Chandelier of Gruene?

The chapel was what sold us in our venue. It is so beautiful and serene.

My wedding style was very classic but whimsical and romantic. Each bouquet and arrangement was similar but unique in their own way which gave it a more organic feel. We kept things classic with gold accents and beautiful taper candles. I was really inspired by watching Bridgerton during the wedding planning process and loved their soft color palettes and their beautiful gold compotes everywhere. I also played into the whimsical element with my dress by adding the flutter sleeves. They created wonderful movement and softness in my otherwise form-fitted dress.

And the colors? How’d you select them for The Chandelier of Gruene?

The pinks, whites, yellows, and blues in my florals and decor felt very appropriate for the venue and the time of year of our wedding. We really channeled spring and early summer in the palette. Pink specifically reminds me of romance and whimsy and seemed like the perfect core color for our wedding.

What was your favorite part of the planning process?

The creativity that wedding planning sparked for me was my favorite part! I loved having the opportunity to create something beautiful.

What was your least favorite part of the planning process?

All of the small logistical details! Timing a big event like a wedding is WAY harder than I realized.

What were some meaningful touches you incorporated into your wedding at The Chandelier of Gruene and why?

We tried to make our guests feel special on our big day as well with handmade escort cards and thank cards for every guest. We planned extra details like the beer mules, classical guitarists, and mariachis to keep everyone entertained throughout the night.

What did you think about our time together?

Sydney is an absolute GEM! I am so glad that we worked with her on our wedding day! Her calm, positive energy was exactly what we needed on the day of. Sydney is incredibly organized and has tons of great ideas. She makes sure that every detail big or small is exactly how you want it to be! Sydney handles blended families extremely well and even offered ideas of ways to navigate honoring different family members throughout the wedding. It was so nice to have her expert opinion when making those decisions! I highly recommend booking Sydney as your wedding planner or coordinator! She will do an amazing job and we are so thankful for her!

For the record, I equally loved working with you at The Chandelier of Gruene, Tatiana and Blake! Your families were an absolute delight.

Cheers, Mr. and Mrs. Pratt!
